The forum code of conduct
Hello Hikikomori Haven forum members. This note is intended to provide some general guidelines for all the members. Kindly note that these guidelines apply to ALL AREAS of the forum:
Whether you are posting a message, updating your journal, posting a link, uploading pictures for your photo album, avatar or signature, posting comments, or any where else.
General Information
Hikikomori Haven staff members will frequently review forum messages for those that are in violation of forum rules. Any messages found or suspected to be in violation can be deleted without warning or explanation. The staff here has the final say over anything posted, if message is said to be in violation of the rules, that is final, no further discussion is needed about it.
The Hikikomori Haven staff also reserve the right to ban any user, at any time, for any reason without notification. By posting in this forums you agree to abide by all its rules and terms.
Personal Information
Never at any time post in any forum personal information of yourself or someone else. Information never to be posted here includes, but is not limited to phone numbers, addresses and last names.
Do not post anything of a suicidal nature.
This site is not suicide related. It is a support site for Hikikomori and trying to lessen it over time with self improvement and/or etc only. No suicidal posts, links, or PM's are acceptable. Violating this rule can be grounds for removal. Kindly note that these guidelines apply to ALL PARTS of the forum: whether you are posting a message, updating your journal, posting a link, uploading pictures for your photo album, avatar or signature, posting comments in the photo albums or anywhere else. Please, do not post suicide notes here nor PM another member with a suicide message.
Suicide is a very serious issue.
It needs to be handled by TRAINED PROFESSIONALS.
We at this forum are not equipped to deal with such serious matters. We are not trained suicide counsellors and this is not suicide hot line. If someone posts here using YOUR user name, you are responsible for the posts that are made here, and YOU accept the consequences of it.

Rules regarding pictures
Absolutely No pictures of gore, blood, guts, suicide, porn, unsuitable nudity, or violence are allowed in threads on the forum at any time.
Advertisements
Tasteful advertisements to do with how you are trying to self improve and/or lessen being a Hikikomori are allowed, for example I'm “Owl Sensei” and I'll have random links to my social networking and/or videos on my profile or in my signature, people can feel free to use them if they wish to learn Japanese…
Things such as a link to your “Etsy store” is fine; if you're trying to make a living working from home and your hobby helps you to socialise and feel productive/etc.
Threads on random and useful free self help are allowed too.
Distasteful advertisements are not allowed: More or less anything not to do with you personally and how you're working on self improvement.
Sex and drug discussions
We are likely to be a diverse community and our members may range in age from teenage years to 40+. Please keep this in mind when you are considering posting messages that have explicit contents, including detailed descriptions of sexual acts or drug use. That type of content is inappropriate in this forum, unless it is in the respectful sections (such as 'Substance abuse') and is about recovery or struggles with such things, rather than promotion.
Defamatory, slanderous or unkind speech
It is not acceptable to speak (or write) harmful or hurtful comments, lies, gossip, etc, etc, etc, about any member of this forum in threads, private messages or emails.
In addition being mean, abusive, hurtful, rude, or in any other way behaving bad to members of this forum, inside this forum or even off the forum, is unacceptable and grounds for the administration to take action.
Surveys, Interviews, Questionnaires, etc...
This forum is not here for your school classwork, for counsellors/doctors, nor for the media. We are not laboratory rats for your term papers, reports, surveys, quizzes or anything else. We will not be quizzed, questioned, or surveyed. We realize you have homework, but we are not going to be your test subjects or source material. Go somewhere else for that. Do not ask to interview us for a TV show, movie, newspaper article or magazine, school assignment, etc... We wont have that here. Not on the forum and not in PM's either.
Profanity
You need not censor yourself but please be respectful to the other members who don't use curse words. The occasional use of profanity is completely acceptable. Excessive use of curse words is not. This is a forum, not a truck stop. Equally important, those who don't use profanities should also respect the fact that sometimes another member may use such words when expressing themselves.
Profanity in avatars is not allowed at all and your avatar will be removed.
Avatar pictures and links
You need to be respectful of others and not put up a photo or avatar that is sexually graphic (showing breasts or external sex organs), or gross, or that is bloody, suicidal, or related to self harm, (pictures of cuts and/or blood, substance misuse, etc). If your link or pictures are bad enough that you need to post a warning about its content, then don't post it at all.
Signatures
Pictures in signatures are allowed if they are generally small.
If your entire signature or a picture in your signature is too big your signature may be removed for you. Some on forums can be too wordy, others have many pictures that are too big. Some have both problems. Signatures that are too big or too long will be removed. If your signature adds to the width of the page, making the page wider than normal, it will be removed. If you suspect that yours is too big please remove some of it.
Try to keep politics out of the forum?
This might be a little hard to explain but you may have noticed a raise in political controversy all over the internet and social media sites recently and in the past few years...
I'd greatly appreciate it if we kept political discussions out of the forum as all we need is one person to say they are (for example) "Antifa", "left-wing", "Right-wing", "Conservative", and another to say they're *insert opposing buzzwords title here* and/or etc... then a huge argument could happen and then a huge divide in the community and a lot of awkward "You should ban this *insert swearing here*" and "But those people are *insert derogatory term here*" and I'd rather we were just peaceful people trying to improve ourselves and support others no matter their person political views... It'd be a shame if a label stopped two people who have the exact same interests in a media or game and/or subject to become mortal enemies when they could have became best friends on here just because they have a separate personal opinion...
So in short... let's concentrate on our interests and methods to improve and become healthier mentally and physically over time, making friends who love the same TV and/or etc, have relaxed and supportive dialogue, and avoid any general awkwardness or fully blown explosion of hate mobs and/or what not like I keep seeing on social media and on random videos and things... If we both absolutely LOVE trains and train models, it shouldn't have anything to do with one or the other person being "left or right wing"... but trains and how cool those are and our favourite engines or what not... I said "in short" and rambled again... sorry about that! ww/lol
And finally, Don't feed the trolls!
If there are, as there most likely will be at some point in any forums life, any "trolls" then just ignore them and report them to Moderators... "feeding the troll" is exactly what they're looking for... knee jerk reactions and to cause distress or anger and argument... zero need to reply to them no matter what stupid things they say... just report them and they can be banned, and ignore them so they get bored and see that it is pointless to try to get a reaction from people because nobody cares what they have to say/etc...

I have finally finished my course work for this year, I only have exams left, all of them will be online and from home! I think that will be interesting 
so I am preparing for them in my freetime.
